REVIEW AND SWATCHES: REVLON CANDY PINK COLORBURST LIPSTICK

Hey girls,
I love Revlon lipsticks but havn't tried any out of the colorburst range until now. The colour I chose to try out is "Candy Pink" which looks exactly like the name sounds! Despite only trying out one lipstick, I thought I would give a little review about my opinions on this range.
Keep reading for more details about the 3 P's, Pakagaing, Pigmentation and Price.
Packaging
I love the sleek, quilted textures and the square tube is something a little more unique than the rounded MAC tubes and more similar to the Chanel ones. I also love how you can see the colour of the lipstick by the little swatch on the top, it makes it so much easier to pick lipstick colours.
Pigmentation
It's quite a frosty, sheer lipstick but you can built it up to be quite an intense colour. In the picture below, the swatch on the right is one light swipe and on the left is a couple of layers, building up the colour.
Price
These lipsticks are $18 from Priceline so pretty expensive for a drugstore brand but less expensive than MAC! The quality is really great so I think it's worth the money.

I recommend checking out the colorburst range if your looking for a good quality lipstick that isn't going to break the bank.

REVIEW: VALENTINES DAY LUSH PRODUCTS

Hey girls,
I picked up a couple of items from the Lush Valentines Day collection and had some time to try them out so though I would do a little mini review on them to help you decide if you are interested in picking them up next year.
 The Ex Factor Bath Ballistic
An adorable smurf blue, little gingerbread man with a red heart, an electric blue bath bomb voodoo. Made with the intentions of an "antidote to the Valentine's sentiments". This product has a musky, creamy scent and turns your bathwater a gorgeous vibrant turquoise.

 Magic Mushroom Bubble Bar
This bubble bar fills your bath with strawberries and cream scented bubbles. Scented with Vanilla Absolute, this one smells absolutely delicious and creates the biggest, most comforting and soft bubbles. The red part is has the same scent as the Yummy Yummy Yummy Shower Gel while the white parts are the creamy vanilla smell.
Those were the two items I picked up from the Valentines range and really the only new ones I noticed apart from a massage bar and lip tint, the rest were from permanent collections including "Sex in the Shower", "Sex Bomb",
"Joy of Jelly" and "It's Raining Men Shower Gel".

REVIEW: NEW BABY LIPS FLAVOURS/SCENTS

Hey girls,
I was at Priceline recently and stumbled across these new Baby Lips flavors which I thought sounded really good so I thought I would try them out and do a little review to tell you what I think.
The three new flavours are "Cherry Velvet", "Protecting Berry"(Fashion Week Addition) and "Mango Pie".
Cherry Velvet smells just like a cherry lip smacker which smells so good and is amazing.

"Protecting Berry" is already a flavour/scent and is usually in blue and pink packaging but for fashion week they released a Limited Edition packaging version. This one has a really lovely sweet berry smell.

Mango Pie is the scent I was most eager to try and I was not dissapointed! Not only is the name so adorable but the packaging colours and adorable and the scent is gorgeous, like tropical passion-fruit, pineapple and mangoes.

Overall I love all of the new flavours, I think they did a really good job creating some new scents. The limited edition packaging of Protecting Berry is so pretty while the Cherry Velvet brings back childhood memories of lip smackers and Mango Pie is the most amazing scent.

LAST MINUTE VALENTINES GIFT: BOX FULL OF GOODIES!

Hey girls,
So it's the night before Valentines and I just finished my last minute present! I really wanted to share this with you girls because some of you might be in the same situation and looking for a quick night before present like I was. I hope this gives you some inspiration or saves you if you have left things until the last minute like I did.
Okay so this present is pretty simple, very crafty but a little time consuming. It's basically a big box made pretty with a little box of love vouchers, a book about why you love your special someone, chocolates, a card and if you have anything else to give him like a game, underwear or socks. Keep reading to find out how to make this box, step by step!
Book about why you love your boyfriend so much.
Step 1: Start off with a basic hard spined book.
Step 2: Take some pretty construction paper and size it to the book, first glueing on the cover flap of one side.
Step 3: Then glue one of the sides of the book onto the construction paper.
Step 4: Now the other side of the book onto the construction paper.
Step 5: Just simply cut off all the excess construction paper and your little book is finished.
Step 6: Don't forget to use sticky letters to spell out a cute message on the cover. Of course use the inside to express how much you love your boyfriend, why his so special and what makes you adore him so much.
Box of vouchers
Step 1: Take your box and put glue all of the top to place your construction paper over.
Step 2: Flip the box over and glue the front paper to the underneath of the front flap.
Step 3: Fiddle around with covering the underneath of your front flap while making it look neat and pretty.
Step 4: Then use sticky letters to write a cute message on the front.
Step 5: Now it's time to make your vouchers! Take squares of paper and fold them in half. On the top write something like "This voucher entitles you to" or "A voucher just for you".
Step 6: Inside is where you can get really creative and write a heap of cute and nice things you can do for your boyfriend.
Box lid
Step 1 and 2: Take a bow and place it in the centre of the box.
Step 3 and 4: Use some glitter squiggles or something similar to create a border around your box.
Inside the box
Step 1: Cover your whole box with some cute paper, making sure to cover all of the white.
Step 2: Use cellophane in the base of the box.
Step 3: Include his favourite treat/chocolate.
Step 4: Add your vouchers box and book about why you love him as well as any other little extras you have.
So that was my last minute Valentines Day gift, it seriously doesn't take long to grab all of this stuff of the shelf at a craft store but it takes a lot of effort to personalise it and make it your own. Anyone recieving this I think would be delighted and thankful because it is a very nice handmade gesture that definitley demonstrates how much you love your boyfriend!

FEBRUARY BEAUTY BLOGGER

The beauty blogger for February is Tamara from Daily Makeup Booth! Her blog is all about fashion and cosmetics, consisting of reviews, hauls, tips and tricks. I really look forward to Tamara's new FOTD's because I love seeing what she does with colour and always comes up with the most beautiful eye looks! I asked Tamara some questions about makeup, fashion, being a beauty blogger and what's coming up on her blog so keep reading to hear her responses!
What inspired you to begin blogging?
I've always loved to write and keep journals. When I got wind that most of my hand cramping could be remedied by keeping an “electronic journal”, I was all for it! I was highly interested in designing a blog and sharing my thoughts with others. As for beauty blogging, it developed into a place where I can talk about makeup nonstop and no one would ever get bored. I enjoy blogging its a great relaxation tool.

How would you describe the clothes you wear?
That's a good question! Being that I am a plus sized female, many other women in the Plus size community think their options are limited-not true! My style is very versatile. One moment I can be chic and sleek and the next, colorful and artistic! You just have to find what suites your body and own it.

How would you describe your makeup style?
There is no doubt about it, my makeup style is over the top and vibrant! I love bright, flashy colors, lush eye lashes and glitter (whenever possible). It's my ultimate statement piece acessory.
When your not blogging, what do you enjoy doing with your time?
I'm a pretty busy college student. When I'm not blogging or Youtubing I like to be involved with my friends and the on campus Christian ministry. I attend plays, comedy shows, art exhibits and more. Oh! And of course I study hard!

Beauty products you couldn't live without and why?
Facial cleanser and moisturizer is a major part of my routine. No matter how well I do my makeup, if my skin is not right it will never come out as well as I'd like. I have combination skin that can be oily and dry all at once! A clean fresh face is the best foundation/base for any makeup application.

Whats up and coming on your blog?
I have so much lined up for my blog in the categories of reviews and hauls..however it's 2012 and I'd love to attract more readers with cool and fun giveaways!
A huge thank you to Tamara for being my February Beauty Blogger!
Please go check out her blog Daily Makeup Booth!

REVIEW AND SWATCHES: CHANEL ROUGE COCO SHINE IN 54 BOY

Hey girls,
This time I am going to be reviewing and swatching a Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in "54 Boy". I adore Chanel lipsticks because the quality is amazing and the colour selections are fantastic. I am in love with the Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks and they are very comparable to the Revlon Lip Butters because they are basically just a tinted lipbalm or a very moistursing sheer lipstick.
The Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks are described as a "hydrating, sheer lipshine" and I totally love the formulation because it is so moisturizing and light weight that it feels just like a lip balm.
The colour is a gorgeous mauve pinky peach that shows up on the lips really glossy and natural! This is a perfect on the go colour because it is so sheer that you don't have to be too precise when applying it. I always keep this in my purse because it's a great lipstick to just swipe on and achieve a perfect natural, glossy lip without much effort.
The swatch below is a couple of coats and you can probably tell it's super sheer and very glossy, such a gorgeous colour!
This is limited edition so if your interested in purchasing it I suggest snatching this up as soon as possible. You can purchase online or at your nearest Chanel counter (Myer and David Jones if you live in Australia) for about $52.
