NYX HAUL (WITH SWATCHES)

Hey girls,
Recently I have fallen back in love with NYX products so purchased some more! I get asked so often where I buy my NYX from and I purchase mine from Cherry Culture. I wanted to share all the products I picked up including swatches.
I picked up five round lipsticks and two jumbo eye pencils. With all of the swatches, the photo on top is the colour with flash and the photo underneath is the colour without flash.
Starting off with Louisiana! This is my favourite purchase out of the whole haul because I have been wanting this lipstick for so long but everytime I have tried to buy it, it has unfortunately been sold out! Luckily this time I was able to get my hands on it and I couldn't be happier! It's a gorgeous bright barbie pink with red undertones. This is nearly a perfect dupe for MAC Lustering.
Thalia is a dusty pink nude colour and I don't typically go for these sorts of brownish lipsticks but I thought I would give it a go with the NYX Round Lipsticks since they are so inexpensive. It's quite a nice glossy consistency and is also well pigmented.
Rose Bud is a frosty peach colour with gold shimmer. A little too frosty for everyday wear but I can't wait to find an opportunity to wear this.
Similar to Rose Bud, Rose is a very frosty colour but this one is more pinky red rather than peach.
Chloe is a vibrant fuchsia pink with obvious blue undertones which heavily shine through the pink. This is a great teeth whitening lipstick that's very bold and daring.
This was my first NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil purchase and it was of course 604 "Milk". It's a super pigmented and creamy white which can be used as a base to make any colours put over the top appear more vibrant.
The second NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil that I picked up was 603 "Pots & Pans" which will definitely come in good use when creating a smokey eye to help silver shadows appear brighter.

REVIEW: MARY KAY TIMEWISE 3-IN-1 CLEANSER

Hey girls,
Lately I have been loving Mary Kay skincare. I recently did a review on their Oil Mattifier and now I'm back with my thoughts and opinions on their Timewise 3-in-1 Cleanser. As you would know, skincare is a very important step in every girls beauty regime so it's important to use the right products on our skin. I am always really hesitant when trying out new skincare because if your skin is behaving well, you don't want to upset the balance with new products which could be potentially damaging to your current clear skin. The other thing you have to keep in mind at the same time is that this product could improve your skin further which is what I found with this cleanser.
3-in-1 means that it cleanses, exfoliates and freshens all in one step! My skin always feels super clean and stripped of excess oil (while still maintaining essential oils) after using this. I love the exfoliating beads because it feels like a new layer of skin everytime after I wash my face. It provides such a cooling sensation which is a lovely fresh feeling. It's gentle enough to use morning and night so it's a great everyday cleanser. I also love how soft and smooth my skin feels afterwards as it isn't drying at all!
So I recommend taking that leap of faith and trying something new for your skin because it could not only maintain your progress but even improve the condition of your skin. In my opinion, the best product to do this is the Mary Kay Timewise 3-in-1 cleanser which you can check out here if you have combination to oily skin or here if you have normal to dry skin.

HOW TO: RAINBOW EYESHADOW

Hey girls,
I love experimenting with colour to create new eyeshadow looks and fell in love with these wearable rainbow eyes I tried out so figured I would do a tutorial on them. These are made much more wearable than most rainbow eyes because they are well blended.
 Products used:
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in "Milk"
Inglot 5 Eyeshadow Palette (From the Freedom System)
Australia "Lagoon" Eyeliner
Jemma Lashline "Atlantis Eyeliner"
Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner
Instructions:
Step 1
PRIMER
Apply NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in "Milk"all over the lid, on your lower lash line and the inner corners of your eyes. This will act as our base for the colourful eyeshadows we will be using to make sure they remain vibrant when applied to the eyelid.

Step 2
SHADOW
Apply the yellow shadow to the inner half of your eyelid and onto the inner corner of your eye. Take the green and apply this to the center of your eyelid, overlapping with the yellow shadow and blending well to create a gradient/ombre effect.

Step 3
LINER
To create our rainbow eyeliner we are firstly taking our green eyeliner and applying this next to the yellow eyeshadow on our lower lash line. Next apply the blue, blending it with the green. Lastly, apply to purple and blend this out with a brush to connect with the purple eyeshadow.

Step 4
LASHES
Curl your lashes and apply a coat of your favourite mascara. If you want to keep your look natural then leave it at that but if your going for more dramatic makeup then add some false lashes.

REVIEW: AUSTRALIS BRUSH ON EYESHADOW IN "DECO"

Hey girls,
This is my review on the Australis Brush On Eyeshadow in "Deco". I think that this is a really unique product which provides a new way of applying eyeshadow. Keep reading to hear more about this product and where you can buy it from.
This product is packaged in a sleek black tube with a "pen like" clicker on the end which once clicked, provides additional product onto the brush at the end. The brush is actually really good quality and soft so it isn't going to be scratchy while you apply the product and you won't need additional brushes to help apply it.

The creamy formula makes it easy to glide onto your eyes, creating an even layer of colour. Although it's a cream shadow, in my experience, it has never creased or faded quicker than a powder shadow. I love the consistency of this product, it feels so much lighter than powder shadow, like your not even wearing anything on your lids.
There is a very subtle pleasent scent so you aren't repulsed while applying your eyeshadow which can occur with some liquid/cream eye products.

I was really impressed with the colour payoff. "Deco" is a bright ivory coloured shimmer shadow which gives a radiant and brightening effect with only one swipe to the lid as it is so pigmented.
You can purchase Australis products from Big W, Kmart, Target, Priceline, Chemist Warehouse and other small chemists.

I hope you enjoyed this review and I definitely recommend picking up one of these Australis Brush On Eyeshadows next time you see them!

REVIEW: FOA MINI MOUSSE CREAM EYESHADOWS

Hey girls,
I am constantly trying out new products and finding new makeup to love so I am happy to welcome the Face of Australia Mini Mousse cream eyeshadows into my makeup favourites! Keep reading to find out more about these and what makes them so aweosme.
I love using these as eyeshadow bases, the same concept as a NYX jumbo eye pencil or MAC paint pot. The white can be put under all eyeshadow colours whereas the pinky nude and bronzey gold only suit shadow of that colour.
Pink Maddison is a gorgeous shimmery nude. Some people have told me that this is a cream version of Stila Kitten eyeshadow but I feel like the colouring of this is too pale and less gold for this to be accurate. Still, a lovely colour to place all over the lid by itself or underneath a pale shimmery shadow.
Snow White is a plain matte white which is perfect as a base to any eyeshadow and will ensure that the colours you put onto your eyes come off true to colour and more vibrant. This is so versatile and can be used to help create so many different eyeshadow looks!
Bronze Briony is a warm toned deep golden colour. It reminds me so much of MAC Amber Lights eyeshadow. This is such a pretty colour for autumn and winter!

Thank you so much for reading, I definitley recommend these products and hope you try them out!

REVIEW: SCHWARZKOPF HEAT PROTECTION SPRAY

Hey girls,
We all love styling our hair whether it be blow drying, straightening or curling, most of us seem to rely on heat tools to fix a style. An important factor that comes into this is protecting our hair from the heat damage that unfortunatley goes along with using these hair tools. This means that an amazing hair protectant is a must have and vital to help maintain the health of our hair. To help everyone on their journey of finding the prfect heat protectant I decided to do a review on the one I am currently using. So this is my review on the Heidi's Styles Schwarzkopf Heat Protection Spray.
I must admit that I was first drawn to this product because of it's packaging but you also recieve quite a large amount of product (250ml) for a reasonable price ($8-$10).

I wouldn't say it feels smooth in your hair but it definitley isn't sticky compared to my Redken one. The straightener glides through once it dries but it does have a long drying time as it is a very heavy and watery mixture.

It strongly smells of alcohol which could indicate that it is drying for your hair but I feel like it keeps my hair straighter for longer so is probably worth it. The results last all day and I have also noticed that it can reduce the amount of frizz in your hair.

The best way to use this product is on wet hair before you blow dry it, this way you don't have to wait for the drying time and it increases the volume of your hair. I recommend this product for people who use higher temperatures.
My overall opinion of this product as a heat protectant is that although it's major benefits are that it is volumising and frizz minimizing, it also has a medium level of heat protection.

REVIEW: 1 SKIN SOLUTION TINTED LIP BALMS

Hey girls,
This is my review on four lip products from the amazing company 1 Skin Solutions. I have spoken about this brand before in a video which I have included at the end of the review for you to take a look at. These Tinted Lip Butters are very comparable to Revlon Lip Butters as they are both of amazing quality and the only difference between them is that the ones from 1 Skin Solutions are much cheaper! A Revlon Lip Butter can set you back up to $22 while a 1 Skin Solutions Lip Butter will only cost you $14.50.
These "Tinted Lip Butters" have a creamy texture that can be built up to be a vibrant glossy finish with a great scent and flavour. These are great for everyday use to keep your lips soft and hydrated. Read on to find out more about each specific Tinted Lip Butter and it's colour, scent and flavour as well as where to purchase them from. Keep reading until the end for some swatches.
1 Skin Solution Lip Butter in "Strawberry Rose Champagne"
This one is a soft sheer rose pink colour and smells exactly like the name! Probably my favourite out of them all because I love how this colour looks on the lips. Click here to buy this.
1 Skin Solution Lip Butter in "Coconut Plum"
Coconut Plum is a soft sheer plum colour that is quite pigmented and has a delicious flavour of coconut and a hit of plum. If you love dark colours for winter this is not only going to look great but also help moisturise your lips from the cold weather. Click here to buy this.
1 Skin Solution Lip Butter in "Almond Biscotti"
I love this soft sheer pink beige colour and it smells amazing, like a bakery. It's great if you love sweet smells and you won't be able to stop licking your lips because the scent is delicious! Click here to buy this.
1 Skin Solution Lip Butter in "Guava Lemonade"
This one is a soft sheer coral tone, perfect for adding a pop of colour to an everyday makeup look with the added benefits of this product moisturizing also. Click here to buy this.
These Tinted Lip Butters provide great moisture and a sheer colour to the lips. Perfect for throwing in your handbag and taking wherever you go to moisturise and add some colour to your lips instantly.

HOW TO: USE TURQUOISE IN YOUR OUTFIT AND MAKEUP

Hey girls,
Turquoise is an obvious colour trend at the moment right next to mint and lilac so I wanted to share with you all how I use this colour through my makeup and what I wear.

Makeup
By simply using a turquoise coloured eye shadow to line your lower lash line can add a dramatic pop of colour to your overall makeup look! Keep your lips simple with a pink gloss so that all of the attention is focused on the bold blue accents.
Necklace
The bright turquoise necklace provides a great contrast against the black tank top. It also works well to bring out the blue in your eye makeup
Arm Candy
I paired three gold based bracelets together. Blue and cream square stone bracelets  and a statement black gem wrist cuff. Mixing and matching bracelets really picks up on the arm candy trend.

Thank you so much for reading! I hope this gave inspiration as to how you can incorporate turquoise into your outfit and makeup! If you have any questions feel free to ask them in a comment below.

TOP 10 FAVOURITE LIPSTICKS

Hey girls,
I rummaged through my lipstick collection to pick out my top 10 favourite lipsticks! I can not even begin to describe how hard of a task that was! I don't really buy colours that I dislike or know I won't wear. This means that everything I own I pretty much love so it was hard to narrow it down to only ten.
I tried to choose an assortment of brands and colours so that there was a variety and I think I did pretty well. I have divided the ten lipsticks into the categories; MAC, Revlon and assorted so keep reading and I hope you enjoy.
LIPSTICK ONE
RUBY WOO
This is a gorgeous deep matte red. If your looking for the perfect red lip I definitely recommend investing in this one. It's really versatile because you can not only wear it as the matte red it is but by simply adding a red gloss over the top you can turn it into a glossy red.

LIPSTICK TWO
LUSTERING
I bought this when I had a free lipstick from a back-to-mac and was debating whether to go with Lustering or Girl About Town. Needless to say, I am so glad that I went with Lustering because I use this lipstick so often! Although, I still do want Girl About Town. It's a gorgeous pinky red and the best thing about this lipstick is that you can wear it sheer or build it up to be opaque depending on the look your going for.

LIPSTICK THREE
VEGAS VOLT
I don't normally go for a dramatic bold lip but when I do, I love to use a bright coral and this is where Vegas Volt comes to good use! It's a super bright, almost neon orange! Definitely not subtle but it looks gorgeous in the summer time paired with coral nails, blush and shoes!

LIPSTICK  FOUR
SAINT GERMAIN
If your looking for a Viva Glam GaGa dupe then this one is perfect! Nearly an identical colour as they are both blue tones baby pinks and it's a great formulation because it's less drying than the GaGa one. I use this lipstick whenever I want a pretty light pink lip.
LIPSTICK  FIVE
"SWEET TART"  REVLON LIP BUTTER
This is my favourite Lip Butter and definitely one of my most worn lipsticks! It's a gorgeous cherry pink which is super pigmented and suits all skin types.

LIPSTICK  SIX
"STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE"  REVLON LIP BUTTER
I love this colour because although it's a really creamsicle baby pink, it has some red undertones to it. This means that it isn't as harsh as blue toned baby pinks and a little less nude which helps avoid a dead looking complexion especially if you have quite fair hair and skin like me.

LIPSTICK  SEVEN
"CANDY PINK" REVLON COLOUR BURST
This is the perfect barbie pink colour. It's quite translucent after only one coat but you can build it up to become very pigmented. It has a blue undertone so is going to help brighten and white your teeth.
LIPSTICK  EIGHT
DIOR COLOUR REVIVER BALM LIP GLOW
This is the perfect barbie pink colour. It's quite translucent after only one coat but you can build it up to become very pigmented. It has a blue undertone so is going to help brighten and white your teeth.

LIPSTICK  NINE
CHANEL 54 BOY

This is the perfect barbie pink colour. It's quite translucent after only one coat but you can build it up to become very pigmented. It has a blue undertone so is going to help brighten and white your teeth.

LIPSTICK  TEN
MAYBELLINE PERPETUAL PEONY
This is the perfect barbie pink colour. It's quite translucent after only one coat but you can build it up to become very pigmented. It has a blue undertone so is going to help brighten and white your teeth.
Thank you so much for reading! If you prefer to watch rather than read you can check out my video all about this above!

Watching many gurus on YouTube and wanting to share my love of beauty and makeup with others.

How would you describe the clothes you wear?
My style I suppose you could classify as "rock chic glam" I love getting simple clothes like a shear button-up shirt and adding chunky jewellery. I can't live without skinny jeans and mini shorts. I buy a lot of my clothes from stores such as General Pants.
How would you describe your makeup style?
My makeup style is usually quite neutral. I wear mostly nudes and only sometimes use bright colours. I love shimmer on the eyes though.

When your not blogging, what do you enjoy doing with your time?
I really enjoy music, I play the violin and the ukulele. I also sing. Music is a big part of my life, and have been doing it since I was about 5 years old. I also love cooking, mainly sweet things :P
Beauty products you couldn't live without and why?
Mascara and lipgloss! Mascara just brings so much definition to your eyes and lip gloss is always handy to put on whenever.

Your quite new to the blogging world, what have you enjoyed most so far?
Just sharing my love for makeup and beauty with others! It's great that there is such a large community out there who enjoy and have a passion for the same thing as I do.
