REVIEW AND SWATCHES: MAYBELLINE MASTER LINER

I have recently started using the Maybelline Master Liner since I finished up my MAC Smoulder Eye Kohl and found it was too smudgy for me to want to repurchase it. I have been really liking this eyeliner and wanted to review to to let you know that it's a great eyeliner if your looking for one for everyday use.

Colour
I love the colouring of this liner because it is the perfect black. Even when used for smudging purposes, it still doesn't look grey or faded.

Purpose
This is great for tight-lining and lining the bottom lash line. I even sometimes use it on my upper lash line to give my eye some more definition if I can't be bothered using gel or liquid liner and it works really well.

Formulation and Pigmentation
It has a super creamy formulation that glides on with ease. The pigmentation of this product is very impressive and definitely build-able.

Price
All Maybelline products are fairly affordable and this one is no exception costing under $15 no matter where you buy it from.

I definitely reccomend picking up this liner if you have been looking for a new one!

UPDATE: GRADUATION, BIRTHDAY, VACATIONS, CHRISTMAS, UPCOMING VIDEOS, ETC.

I just felt like updating you guys on everything that has been going on because my life has been so busy and stressful for the past couple of months and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel so thought it was a perfect time to do this little update!
The biggest thing is that I graduated high school!! 13 years of schooling and I am finally finished! I am now on holidays for 4 months until my university course starts in March, a long time, I know. It's such a surreal feeling to know that I will wake up every morning for the next 4 months and not HAVE to do anything or go anywhere. It's amazing but a little intimidating to know that it's now completely up to me to pave my path in life and I can achieve anything I want if I put my mind to it. I am very eager to get out in the real world and experience life past school, past rules, lunchtimes, friendship cliques and English analytical essays. I know that I will face some of these things in life again especially because I am going to university but it will never be quite the same as I have complete control of whether or not I want to do something and can always decide not to. I am still in the process of wrapping my head around the fact that I will never go to another day of school again and am trying to figure out what to do with my 4 months holidays! Graduation was a great experience though, my school was so amazing and although I am sad to leave I know I'm moving on to bigger and better things. I recieved two rings for graduation, one from my parents which was a round 1/2 carat diamond in a yellow gold setting and the second one was from my school, both pictured below. I seriously love them both so much and will cherish them for years to come.
My birthday is the end of this month on the 27th of November. All my friends and family keep asking me what I want and I actually have no idea (I can't believe it either). So I am going to have to think about it and create a list (hard life, I know).
I have two amazing vacations planned in December that I am really excited for. The first is to an island and the second is just to the Gold Coast. So they are both really relaxing beach getaways to soak up the warm weather and celebrate all of my achievements (graduation, exam results) and my birthday.
Of course Christmas and New Years are quickly sneaking up on us. This means lots of shopping trips and presents have to start being planned! Hopefully I will be able to film some gift guide ideas or blog about gift ideas like I did last year which you can check out if you click here. I am a very creative and crafty person so I always love finding someone I adore the perfect gift with the perfect wrapping and card so I always feel a lot of pressure around this time. Good thing I have over a whole solid month to figure this stuff out. Since I'm going to be away for 2 weeks of December, I put up my Christmas tree early so that I could enjoy it for just as long. I went with a purple, silver and pink theme this year which I love and can't walk past without being distracted by all of the shiny things!
I have so many festive recipes planned on my cooking channel and blog for the upcoming Christmas season so I'm really excited to be working on them. The first two I'm planning on doing are Christmas Coconut Ice and Peppermint Bark. This of course means that I stocked up on adorable festive kitchen wares and ingredients, I can never help myself at home wares stores around Christmas time because everything it just so cute and themed! I bought some green/red small and big bowls, a Christmas cupcake stand, themed plates and Tupperware, cupcake wrappers, sprinkles, red and green food colouring and icing, cookie cutters, wrapping ideas for gifting the sweets, some piping bags and decorating items. Seriously can not wait to use these when doing some Christmas baking!
So all of this time I have on my hands means more videos and blogging for you all! I am currently working on a couple of get ready with me, outfit of the day as well as many more videos even including a holiday giveaway celebrating my graduation, my birthday, Christmas, New Years and reaching 6000 subscribers!

I used to work at a hairdressing salon and bakery but once I began year 12, I decided to quit both to focus on my school work. Now that I have 4 months of holidays I'm pretty sure I would be crazy not to start looking for another job so I will probably be doing that!

I love sharing my life with you all and hope you enjoyed catching up with me. To keep updated on me you can always follow me on Instagram (JordysBeautySpot) and Twitter (JordsBeautySpot).

REVIEW: MAYBELLINE ILLEGAL LENGTHS MASCARA

There has been a lot of hype surrounding micro fiber mascaras recently so I was excited to try out the Maybelline version "Illegal Lengths". I have been so impressed with this mascara and it has quickly become one of my all time favourites alongside my Maybelline Falsies Flared.

The wand is the perfect length and thickness to catch all of your lashes, the tip being small enough to even get into the corner lashes.

The formulation is like any normal mascara and you can't even see the hidden fibers that are 4mm in length until they attach to the tip of your lashes, making them look extra long!

It has a gel like consistency and I would say it's more of a wet formula than a dry one. The gel is super black, ensuring your eyelashes get that dramatic pigmented colour.
Watch my review and how-to video below :)
I definitely recommend checking out this mascara, it has really impressed me and I love it!

REVIEW: GARNIER BB CREAM

Lately, as the weather has been warming up, I have been swapping my foundation for BB creams because they are much more lightweight. The one which has become my absolute favourite is the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector for Oily and Combination skin and it has become something I use everyday. The main reason being that it is just so lightweight and breathable that it doesn't even feel like your wearing anything at all!

I use the shade Light/Clair and I find that it is the perfect colour for me except for when I'm tan in which case I just use extra bronzer so it isn't an issue. Overall the colouring is really nice, not too yellow, orange or pink.

I find that with only one layer of this, the product has covered everything I want it to up. So it has great coverage especially considering it's only a BB Cream and not a foundation. This is perfect for everyday use to replace foundation and I just set mine with a translucent powder. Using this with a concealer really does give me flawless coverage so I think that unless you have really acne affected skin, this should give you a great flawless finish.

The fact that it is made for oily to combination skin unfortunately means that this product does contain a fair amount of alcohol which can lead to drying out your skin. I don't find this to be much of an issue for me but you can definitely smell the alcohol in it.

The tube contains 40ml of product and considering you only use quite a small amount, it lasts you a fairly long time! I have already stocked up with a second bottle but that's just because I saw it on sale and I am not even half way through this first tube yet so won't be needing to replace it for a while.

The RRP for this BB Cream is $13.95 which is what I paid for my first bottle but you can find it much cheaper on sale because I bought my backup bottle for only $7.99. So if you compare these prices to the cost of your regular foundation, you can see that this is a much cheaper alternative especially because it gives you good coverage!

I definitely reccomend picking this up for the warmer weather, a complete summer essential!

REVIEW AND SWATCHES: BLOOM "BORA BORA" PURE MINERAL BLUSH

I have been really enjoying Bloom mineral products recently as you would notice if you read my review for the Bloom translucent powder that you can check out here. This time I am reviewing one of their mineral blushes and this one is in the colour "bora bora". It can be sometimes difficult to work with mineral products but I find the easiest way for me to use Bloom mineral blushes and setting powders is by using the Bloom Dual Mineral and Concealer Brush which is specifically designed for picking up fine mineral products.
"Bora Bora" is a beautiful, rich coral coloured blush, perfect for the warmer weather because this colour is gorgeous on tanned skin with a matching coral lip! The pigmentation is amazing, you only need like smallest amount of this product to give your cheeks a beautiful coral glow! I am really looking forward to wearing this as my blush on summer nights out.

The packaging is like all of the other Bloom mineral products, in a screw top jar with a sifter. Since this is a very pigmented blush, sometimes it can be hard to not get too much product on the brush (which leaves you looking like a clown) so what I like to do it tap off the excess into the lid and use a very light hand when applying it.
Below are swatches of the blush, the bottom one is if you swatch the blush with a lot of product on your hand, showing it's maximum possible colour payoff and the top is a blended out swatch showing what it is more likely to look like when applied to your cheeks.
So if you have been looking for a new blush colour for summer, definitely check this one out!
