Welcome to EMPTIES WEEK! I am so excited for these 2 empties videos/posts because I have never done one before but absolutely love the concept so I hope you all enjoy them as well. GRWM GREAT GATSBY EDITION ♥ MODERN 1920s MAKEUP AND OUTFIT

I went to a The Great Gatsby dinner and movie event earlier this week and the group I went with decided to dress up 1920s themed in celebration. So here is my Great Gatsby inspired makeup which is more a modern 1920s flapper girl look.

A DAY IN MY LIFE AND CLEARASIL COMPETITION

Here I'm going to share with you a 'day in my life'. This was a Friday for me, so the end of the week where I had a few places I had to be and a lot of stuff to get done before the end of the week so I could have a relaxing weekend. This features the new Clearasil Vitamins & Extracts range which is a completely new and different concept from Clearasil. Offering a good balance of active ingredients strong enough to prevent breakouts, with nourishing nutrients from Vitamin E, avocado and pomegranate extracts, but are kind enough to be part of a daily skincare regime.

FACE OF THE DAY: POPS OF BLUE AND NUDE PEACH LIPS MAKEUP

I had a sudden urge to play with colour and decided on a gorgeous cobalt blue that I would use above my black gel liner. I decided to play down my lips so that they didn't clash with my dramatic eye look so went with a peachy nude. If you're anything like me who gets stuck doing the same neutral makeup every single time, you begin to be afraid of colour and think it's going to make you look cray! I definitely recommend giving it a go, after all it's only makeup and you can always remove it if you go a little OTT on the colour. Then again I'm sure that most of you reading this aren't afraid of colour at all and I'm just a conservative freak but whatever the case, keep reading to find out what products I used to create this look!

BATTLE OF THE PRIMERS

I truly believe that a good primer is the basis of face makeup and that it can really help assist your foundation to achieve perfect results. It's the same concept as a house being built on a strong base. There are so many primers on the markets these days though, it seems like every brand has come out with multiple options so it can be kind of confusing as to which one will suit you best. So I have decided to create this little 'battle of the primers" similar to my "battle of the BB creams" article which will hopefully help you in deciding what kind of primer you would like to invest in.

Primers have the ability to not only prepare the skin for foundation but can also:
* Colour correct
* Minimize oil
* Give a luminous finish
* Moisturize the skin
* Protect skin from the sun
* Naturally prime with minerals

In this article we are going to take a look at most of these aspects of primer with four different products.

FOTD: OLD HOLLYWOOD GLAMOUR MAKEUP

I was hugely inspired by old Hollywood "glamour" makeup while creating this look. Although I didn't realise it at first when doing my base, eyebrows and eyes but once I added the classic red lipstick it hit me that my makeup was very 1950's. I finished the look off with some slight pin-curls (not as tight or dramatic as the Hollywood glamour ones though) because why not make it even more 1950's. So I wanted to share this look with you all to show that you can definitely wear glamour makeup and if you toned down the red lips, it could even come an everyday look.

FOTD: NEUTRAL EYE, BOLD LASHES AND CORAL LIPS

This is a look I have been going to a lot lately and wanted to share it with you all! It's one of my favourite ways to incorporate some colour into my everyday look, especially now that it's autumn and I have been going very neutral with my eye look and clothes. So I'm going to include a full list of products used to create this look so that you can try it out as well!
