BRISBANE WINTERGARDEN MEDIA EVENT + OOTN

 Last night I attended the Brisbane Wintergarden Media Walk Through which showcased some of the amazing brands available from that shopping mall. The five stores we stopped into for a visit were Coach, Seed, Mecca Maxima, Designer Archives and M.J. Bale. It was fun to run into other Brisbane Fashion Bloggers and Brisbane Beauty Bloggers as it is at all these sorts of events. It was a fantastic night, very well put together by the Wintergarden centre so keep reading to find out more about all the stores involved in this event.

 

STILA KITTEN MUST-HAVES SET {COLLECTION OVERVIEW}

Stila is one of those brands that can be hard to get your hands on especially for a Brisbane blogger like myself, not to the extent that Tarte or LORAC is completely unavailable in Australia but Stila is really only accessible in Mecca Maxima. So unsurprisingly I hadn't delved much into Stila until my international swap with a gorgeous US chicky (you can watch the swap video here).

If you've heard of Stila then it was probably followed up with a discussion about "kitten", their infamous sparkly nude shade. Even for someone who had no access to Stila at all (a few years ago before Mecca Maxima), I still somehow managed to have in my possession the coveted Stila Kitten eyeshadow in pan. I adored that shimmery champagne eyeshadow...until it smashed everywhere and it was too much of a hassle to use. So I was extremely excited to see not just the eyeshadow in this set but also a complimenting selection of lipgloss and an shimmer duo.

SHISEIDO MAQUILLAGE TRUE EYESHADOW PALETTE (BR264) {REVIEW AND SWATCHES}

I haven't delved into the brand Shideido until now when I picked up my very first product from them, the Maquillage True Eye Shadow Palette in BR264. I really wish that these palettes had names rather than codes because a lot of the palettes look really similar to each other and it's hard to tell them apart when you can't remember the code name. Nevertheless, this has no impact on the product itself and let me jump straight to the point...the quality is phenomenal. These are some of the nicest Eyeshadows I have ever tried in my life and exceed even the highest end of brands like Chanel so keep reading to find out why.

POWDER BLUE BLISS FASHION WISHLIST

Lately I have had an obsession with this gorgeous powder blue colour, specifically when it comes to clothing and accessories. So I thought it would be appropriate to share the powder blue love with you all and create a little wish list for inspiration. It wasn't very hard to put this together considering so many stores have recently come out with collections themed with this shade of blue and a baby pink. Due to being a Brisbane based fashion blogger I wanted to make all of these items accessible to those of you who live in Brisbane or even Australia wide so you can find any of these pieces in any Westfield or shopping mall.

LIP PRODUCT ADDICT TAG

Now it's no secret that I am completely obsessed with lip products whether it be a lip balm, lipgloss, lipstick or anything in between. So when the lip product addict tag came to my attention and I was tagged by a few girls to do this I absolutely jumped at the chance. An opportunity to talk about lip products endlessly? Yes please! I would even go as far to say that this is my forte, so let's get into it.

Hello Hair is one of those brands that have become instagram famous and as such it's near impossible to try and avoid hearing all about this product in your feed. I received a sample of the Hello Hair Hydrating Mask in my Beginning Boutique goodie bag and was excited to give it a try to finally find out what this product is all about as well as be able to share my thoughts on this product with you all.

BARE FACED CELEBRITIES WITHOUT MAKEUP



In my 40 Beauty Questions TAG I was asked which celebrities makeup I admired most and I touched on a few of my favourites but concluded with the fact that they all have professional makeup artists, stylists and hairdressers helping them look the way that they do. So much time goes into getting them ready yet we overlook that fact and act as if that is how they look on a daily basis exercising or buying groceries. We are constantly posting makeup inspiration pictures of the celebrities so it's always good to step back sometimes and acknowledge the power of some well placed makeup.

I thought that this post about celebrities without makeup was mainly important to see that they are human too and don't constantly look how we see them on the red carpet so to not compare your everyday self to their made up selves. Also let's face it, all of the images we see have been produced so sometimes these before photos are so raw that the photo doctoring phenomenon finally hits home and I want all of you girls to embrace that.

BEGINNING BOUTIQUE BLOGGER BREAKFAST - BRISBANE FASHION BLOGGER

Yesterday morning I rolled myself out of bed and braced the early morning cold to attend a beautiful breakfast put on by the gorgeous girls over at Beginning Boutique. So you're all probably familiar with Beginning Boutique but if not then you must check them out. They are a Brisbane based online clothing store stocking some of the most up-to-date trends for each season.

We tucked into a delicious breakfast at The Gunshop Café located at Brisbane's West End. I somehow found myself tragically lost for about half an hour trying to find the place, my sense of direction seems to fly at the window whenever I'm driving. So many incredible, creative and inspiring Brisbane fashion bloggers, vloggers and magazine contributors came together to discuss everything fashion.
