HALLOWEEN: OOTD AND FOTD

I have gotten a couple of requests so thought i would share my Halloween costume and makeup with you girls!
Halloween is a great time to experiment and test out all sorts of different looks you usually wouldn't. I didn't go too crazy but i used dramatic lashes and bold red lips which is far from my daily neutrals. I had a lot of fun with my makeup and it was great to use some different products.
I was inspired by this advertisment featuring Kate Moss. I loved her lips and eyelashes so tried to recreate the look.
I found the advertisment in the new CLEO magazine.

Hair was super simple, i didn't really do much to it. Just some teasing and messing it up to make my look really frazzled and distressed.

This is just an overview of the products i used. Everything was really affordable!

This was my outfit, it was a little DIY project. I used fake blood, eyeshadows and scissors to create this really ripped up, messy, dirty shirt.
These shoes aren't scary or anything but i thought they matched the outfit pretty well and i didn't feel like wearing heels.

NOTD: CHINA GLAZE

I don't usually get my nails professionally done, maybe once or twice a month to file, shape, buff and all that stuff. When i do get my nails done, i don't usually do a NOTD because the colours the salon has to choose from never have names so it isn't very helpful for you girls if you want to get the same colour. Despite this, i would like to share the colour  i got my nails painted today with you. It was a China Glaze polish and it looked like a very pale pink in the bottle.

NOTD: OPI GARGANTUAN GREEN GRAPE

I love this colour, i think it's a really beautiful mint jade green! One of my favourite colours to wear in Spring because it looks so fresh and clean on the nails!

DUPES: MAC VIVA GLAM GAGA

MAC Viva Glam Gaga was only avaliable for a limited time and was nearly always out of stock so your lucky if you got your hands on it. I have mentioned this gorgeous lipstick in a few YouTube videos and have gotten a couple of questions asking where you can get it from. I always feel really bad because i know that it isn't in stores anymore and it's expensive/hard to find online. So i thought that sharing a couple of lipsticks I have found that are similar to the MAC Lady Gaga Viva Glam may be helpful for you girls.

MAC Viva Glam Gaga is a blue toned baby pink. The blue tones are supposed to make your teeth appear whiter and it's Lustre formulation is the most moisturising of MAC lipsticks.

Keeping in the MAC lipstick family, Saint Germain is the closest you can get to Gaga's lipstick. I asked the MUA and she said that MAC doesn't have many colours similar but this is probably as close as you will get. I thought about Snob as well but Saint Germain is much closer.

I wanted a drugstore option in here and Revlon Pink Pout i find is quite similar. I also love the formualtion and it is a great colour.

YSL Rouge Volupté in Fetish Pink is a little bit darker than MAC's Gaga but if you apply this lightly and mess around with the gloss it looks extremley similar.

Viva Glam Gaga, Saint Germain, Fetish Pink, Pink Pout.

So those are the best dupes i could find, sorry there isn't one exactly the same as the MAC Gaga one. I searched far and wide but i think it's a very unique and rare colour. I hope this kind of helped, i just thought i would address is because i have gotten a lot of questions on this lipstick.

TOP 5 SPRING NAIL POLISHES

I want to share with you girls my five favourite nail polishes to wear in the Spring time. This is probably most helpful to my Aussie readers who are in Spring at the moment, i hope to give you some colour ideas and polish inspiration. I realised that I unintentionally chose all OPI so i added some drugstore dupes for each colour.

 OPI "Gargantuan Green Grape"
A good green nail colour is a must for me in Spring and i particularly love this one because it is a lovely mint apple green colour with a pastel finish and cream formulation. Dupes are Revlon Minted and Essie Minted.

 OPI "Atomic Orange"
This Spring bright orange polish that moves into Summer as well. A daring colour great for making your nails stand out and be bright. A dupe is Revlon Make Mine Mango.

OPI "Do You Lilac It?"
A creme lilac in between bright and dusty making it the perfect tone. It is hard to find a good purple but this one is gorgeous and i love wearing it in Spring. I feel like it represents flowers blooming. A dupe is Maybelline Goody Plum Drop Well.

OPI "OPI Red"
I love red all year round but i find that this specific red is great for Spring. Once the cooler seasons start coming aorund i usually switch this red up for something a bit darker like OPI Bogata Blackberry. There are an overwhelming amount of dupes for this red so just look around and you will find one.

OPI "Apline Snow"
I have a love hate relationship with white nails. Sometimes i feel like they look tacky when other times i think they make my nails stand out and look really clean. I usually wear this under the colours mentioned above in Spring to get a really good colour payoff but this alone looks pretty nice as well. This is the only white nail polish i have ever had so i don't know any good dupes.
