HYDRALURON HYPE

So you have probably heard of Hydraluron by now and all of the hype surrounding it. It seemed to pop up out of nowhere and suddenly appear on every blog and on every store shelf. Being extremely curious about this product I have collected all of the products from the quickly expanding range; what started out as just the tube of gel is now one among many with new masks, exfoliators and more added to the Hydra family. Hydraluron products, in general, are supposed to increase skin's hydration level and minimise the need for frequent topical moisturising. This increase in moisture levels has been shown to increase skin elasticity and reduce surface roughness. How do they do this you ask? Well the miracle ingredient in all Hydraluron products is the purest form of hyaluronic acid, which can hold 1000 times its weight in water therefore allowing intense moisturising of the skin...pretty crazy. So perhaps you have walked past the brightly packaged ranges from Indeed Labs and wondered how good the product is inside, well in this post I am going to be answering exactly that and letting you know my thoughts on the entire Hydraluron range.

Moisture Boosting Serum
This is the original product that started all the Hydraluron hype, with the purest hyaluronic acid. Its aim is to boost the moisture in the skin but using a different method to your typical lotion or cream. Its main point of difference is in the consistency as it has more of a gel formulation compared to an average moisturiser. Something I dislike about this product is that after application you aren't left with that "freshly moisturised" feeling but moreso a tacky residue. I understand that this comes down to the way that the product works which is from beneath the skin's surface, but it's definitely something to consider before purchasing. The directions are simply to apply a small amount to the entire face before other creams and products. This product retails for $34.99 and you receive 30ml of product.

Moisture Jelly
This product uses a combination of 5 ingredients which all work together to provide instant and sustained moisture to the skin. With aims of leaving skin feeling soft, supple and glowing it takes the previously discussed Moisture Booster to a whole other level. I love the refreshing feel of this jelly so it's lovely to apply but does leave you with the same tacky feeling as the Moisture Booster. The main aspect that this product has over the Moisture Booster is the packaging! The press down top that dispenses just the right amount of product ensures that the rest of the jelly inside is not contaminated. Plus let's face it; white, pink and clear is always a winner on any bathroom bench or vanity. Directions recommend a pea sized amount all over the face and neck, twice a day for optimal results. This product retails for $39.99 and you receive 30ml of product.

Exfoliator
I am always quite wary of exfoliators because most tend to be quite abrasive and harsh on the skin so I was shocked to find how much I fell in love with this product. I not only find it absolutely perfect for exfoliating but added benefits include ensuring that all makeup is removed and allowing a deeper clean with my cleanser. With bamboo extract, rice bran powder, Okinawa red algae, pineapple enzymes and of course...hyaluronic acid, this exotic exfoliator is packed full of awesome and effective ingredients. Simply the powder with a dash of water and watch it transform into a beautiful creamy foam for you to exfoliate with.
Moisture Boosting Mask
I have left the best until last, this incredible product completely changed my view on sheet masks. I've never been a fan and always stuck with my apply then rinse of clay masks but after giving this sheet style mask a chance I am officially obsessed. It left my skin feeling so incredibly soft, supple and looking radiant. I couldn't recommend this more, definitely the most effective out of all the four products in the Hydraluron range. This product retails for $24.99 and you receive 4 sheet masks.

As far as accessibility goes, Hydraluron products are available at Priceline and they often have discounts such as 30% off so if you can catch them on sale then that would be ideal.

So that's my overview of the four Hydraluron products in the range. In summary, I think that all of these products do exactly as they say but if it's a to-the-touch moisture that you're looking for then you will be disappointed by the Moisture Booster and Jelly. The mask and exfoliator on the other hand will surprise you in their effectiveness and leave you with results that you can see right away.

Thank you for reading!
