NARS POWDER FOUNDATION REVIEW

As a powder foundation junkie, I have swapped favourites many times which you would know if you have been following my blog for a few years. Initially I was obsessed with MAC Studio Fix but then I found a drugstore dupe, the Australis Fresh and Flawless. Now I have moved on to the NARS Powder Foundation and am not looking back. I have given this powder a go for over a month now so can now share my long-term thoughts with you all.

NARS is one of those brands that I can never just walk by at Mecca Maxima, I must stop and admire it's beauty. Their packaging, colours and consistencies are always on point so although I'm usually nervous to try out foundation products from high end brands, I didn't hesitate to pick this up. Now let's get into examining this powder foundation.
How does it work?
The main thing I love about this product is that it makes my skin look incredible soft and smooth while leaving a light and natural look to my skin. The powder is so finely milled that instead of sitting on the surface of your skin, it blends into your foundation while still managing to set it. Pretty amazing right?!

Application made easy
The creamy consistency ensures easy application and even distribution of the product. From personal experience, I have found that this product works best with a tapered powder brush since it allows you to focus on a smaller surface area. A little goes a long way with this powder so a few quick swipes and you're done. I usually tap the brush in the product maybe three times; for the centre of my face, chin and a bit on my forehead.

Wear time
This powder wears like a dream with its lightweight formula that means you can't notice you're wearing it at all. It lasts on my skin all day without creasing, cracking or going blotchy so a bit thumbs up from me in the wear time department.

Match me up
A common issue when selecting powders can be a lack of colours to choose from but NARS has every skin tone covered in this range. You can find your perfect colour match since they have a shade for everyone, with options for every undertone. Package me pretty
There is no going past the sleek and sophisticated packaging of NARS and this one doubles as both pretty and practical. A hidden compartment underneath the product provides you with a place to keep your sponge if that is your preferred method of application. For me, I like to keep blotting powders stashed under there.

This powder retails for $46 and can be purchased from Mecca Maxima or alternatively you can use a mail forwarding service and buy straight from the US site.
