I WROTE A BOOK!

I WROTE A BOOK! Sorry all caps but I am so unbelievably excited it's not even funny. I have been waiting so long (3 years to be exact) to be able to say those words to you! 

I really couldn't wait any longer so I pulled the trigger today on a whim and announced it is released for pre-order with the official release date of November 1st! 

Holding my printed book in my hands is probably one of my greatest accomplishments to date and I'm trying to fully soak in this feeling but it's extremely overwhelming. 

I'll keep it short because my brain is in overload right now - here are the things you should know about the book!

What is the book about?
“The book will act as a resource for understanding the digital landscape of blogging as a form of creative advertising as well as an instructional manual which will act as a guide for any creatives wishing to enter the advertising industry through the blogging medium.”

How does it work?
The guide is split into three main sections, each reflecting a new stage in becoming a full-time blogger. The book will teach readers how to;
>CREATE A DURABLE BLOG
>BUILD AN ONLINE AUDIENCE
>GENERATE FINANCIAL SUCCESS

Where can I buy it?
You can purchase a printed copy or eBook version from ProBloggerCareer. If you purchase the printed book, you automatically receive the eBook as a bonus. It is currently on pre-order right now but all copies will be officially released on November 1st!

AMAZING BLOGGER ALERT: AMBER'S FASHION AVENUE!

I want to introduce you all to Amber, AKA the sweetest girl I have ever met and my long lost sister! Not to mention she has an absolutely fabulous fashion blog and YouTube that you all need to definitely go and check out! She seriously deserves way more followers than she has and I'm sure she would appreciate it if you had a look at her blog and videos. 

Similar to myself she is a uni student from Brisbane who studies Journalism and Fashion, aiming towards becoming a fashion journalist! I love seeing girls who are really passionate about what they do and Amber is definitely someone who is enjoying what she does. She inspires me a lot as we are on a similar journey with myself aiming to be a beauty journalist.

AUGUST BEAUTY BLOGGER

 

The beauty blogger for August is Julia from her blog Julia's Fashion Minute and her YouTube channel juultje1992! I caught up with Julia and asked her some questions about blogging/vlogging, her style and favourite beauty products so keep reading to find out more about this talented blogger!

What inspired you to begin beauty blogging and vlogging?

I was inspired to blog by magazines. I wanted to share my opinion on style and beauty products with the world.  I actually had some failed attempts before I actually started, but now I love it more than anything in the world. I can’t imagine my day without writing a blog article. For vlogging I actually got inspired by my ex-boyfriend. He saw me watching a lot of makeup videos on YouTube and he was like you can do this yourself too! That’s when I grabbed my camera & started filming.

How would you describe the clothes you wear?

Comfortable and stylish. I especially love to wear pink, black ahnd white. For details I love bows, pearls, lace and leather.

How would you describe your makeup style?

I love to wear a subtle smoky eye and I love to keep my cheeks & lips pink and toned down.

 

When you’re not blogging or vlogging, what do you enjoy doing with your time?

I don’t know why but I love to spend my time watching TV shows. Or shopping of course ! I also read a lot of blogs in my spare time.

Beauty products you couldn’t live without and why?

My vanishing cream by Lush, High beam by Benefit & Super orgasm by NARS.

Because the Vanishing cream by Lush is one of the few products that doesn’t give me break outs but prevent it. High beam by Benefit is a must have and a life saver! Super orgasm by NARS is just my all time favorite  blush that goes with everything.

Do you prefer making videos or blogging?

Actually I prefer to blog, you can do it whenever you want. You don’t have to dress up or make sure the lighting is right and it takes less time than putting a video together. Don’t get me wrong I also love to make videos but I just prefer blogging more than vlogging at the moment.

JULY BEAUTY BLOGGER

 

The beauty blogger for July is Sophie from LuckyBeauty07! Although she is new to being a beauty blogger, she has already shown so much potential and I love that she is Australian like me! I really think you would enjoy her blog so definitely take a look and follow to support her as she's just starting out! What inspired you to begin beauty blogging?

Watching many gurus on YouTube and wanting to share my love of beauty and makeup with others.

How would you describe the clothes you wear?

My style I suppose you could classify as "rock chic glam" I love getting simple clothes like a shear button-up shirt and adding chunky jewellery. I can't live without skinny jeans and mini shorts. I buy a lot of my clothes from stores such as General Pants.

How would you describe your makeup style?

My makeup style is usually quite neutral. I wear mostly nudes and only sometimes use bright colours. I love shimmer on the eyes though.

When your not blogging, what do you enjoy doing with your time?

I really enjoy music, I play the violin and the ukulele. I also sing. Music is a big part of my life, and have been doing it since I was about 5 years old. I also love cooking, mainly sweet things :P

Beauty products you couldn't live without and why?

Mascara and lipgloss! Mascara just brings so much definition to your eyes and lip gloss is always handy to put on whenever.

Your quite new to the blogging world, what have you enjoyed most so far?

Just sharing my love for makeup and beauty with others! It's great that there is such a large community out there who enjoy and have a passion for the same thing as I do.

JUNE BEAUTY BOGGER

The beauty blogger for June is Jessica from her blog Jessica Beautician. I originally found Jess through watching her YouTube videos but then found her blog soon after. A 21 year old beautician and absolutely stunning from Norfolk, I adore British beauties and Jessica is no exception! Keep reading to find out how she got into the online beauty world, her fashion sense, makeup style and much more!

What inspired you to begin beauty blogging and vlogging?

I started watching YouTube beauty videos about 3 years ago and to begin with I could honestly never see myself ever doing it (I'm actually a really shy person!). After 2 years, I finally decided to give it a go and started my channel, JessicaBeautician. I gradually stumbled across other blogs but I didn't even know how to follow them, so I'd just save them in to my bookmarks and visit them every now and then. I got into blogging around the same time as I started making YouTube videos.

How would you describe the clothes you wear?

Very simple and casual. I never really wear anything too daring and always play it safe with neutral colours such as blacks, browns and greys!

How would you describe your makeup style?

Again, very low-key and minimal most of the time. I prefer to use products which enhance my features, although when I get the opportunity I love to wear a bright lip!

When your not blogging or vlogging, what do you enjoy doing with your time?

I just enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also really enjoy travelling, I've done quite a bit over the last few years and I love to see new places. Of course there is shopping as well, I probably enjoy that a bit too much!

Beauty products you couldnt live without and why?

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser is my all time favourite cleanser, it removes makeup so easily. Origins Vitazing is an amazing moisturiser, it gives the skin such a healthy looking glow. Makeup wise, I couldn't live without concealer, I often just use it to cover up any imperfections and go without foundation.

Do you have any goals for your YouTube channel and blog?

I just hope to continue what I'm doing for a long time to come! I hope to progress a lot further with both my channel and blog, possibly update on my technology but at the moment I'm just really enjoying doing it as a hobby!
