MAY BEAUTY FAVOURITES

So once again the month has disappeared on us and we now find ourselves almost in June, half way through the year! I feel as though it was only last month I was watching fireworks and making my resolutions, it's actually crazy to think I'm half way through my first year at university already! Well onto my beauty favourites for the month of May...

I am so EXCITED to finally share with you all my second eBook, the 5 Day Detox! Before my first detox I thought that I felt perfectly fine and didn't see the need but wanted to try one anyway and I am SO glad that I did because after that first detox, I actually felt so surprisingly purified and refreshed. The amazing "on top of the world" feeling was so shocking considering I thought that I felt so great before that and it was just amazing to feel 100x better. Since personally experimenting with many detoxes and spending much time researching the whole concept, I have found that the "OMG I feel amazing" sensation is actually due to all of the toxins that are hiding in our bodies being removed through the detoxification. So if you're sitting there thinking "oh but I feel fine, there are no toxins in me" then think again because I was in the same position, I'm just lucky that I randomly decided to start a detox one day. What we don't realise is how many toxins are actually in our bodies from; a previously/current unhealthy diet, alcohol, coffee, processed foods, makeup, hair dye, cleaning products and most horrifyingly our environment. All of these poisonous factors add up in the body and can cause serious issues if we don't detox, leading to illness and an array of health issues.

Autumn has finally arrived for us Aussies and despite how much I love the warmer months, it's time for a break from the scorching heat that is Summer! REVIEW: GHD CANDY STYLER

For those of you who have tried a ghd before you will know that it is truly a hair changing experience! I have grown up using ghd's as my mum is a loyal user of them but unfortunately once I moved out of home, I couldn't just steal my mum's straightener from her and didn't want to spend $250+ on one for myself. So I have settled with a Remington for the last year and a half, I mean it did it's job but it just couldn't compare to my beloved ghd so I JUMPED at the chance to try one of the new stylers from the limited edition, 'Candy Collection'. I've got to tell you that I forgot how incredible these straighteners are; the first time I used this I couldn't believe how much better my hair looked than if I used my Remington (not bashing Remington, they are great for the price but I love my ghd's more).

Some of you might know that one of my first part time jobs was working at a hairdressing salon and we only ever used ghd's on clients because they are the best straighteners for any hair type and I could make almost afro-like hair, dead straight with one of these. They are truly professional quality hair stylers and you would find them in nearly every upscale salon you go to. So onto the review and more information about this lovely little hair miracle.

GET READY WITH ME ♥ DRUGSTORE MAKEUP EDITION

I love watching and creating 'Get Ready With Me' videos so here is another one! It's pretty much my everyday makeup which is; light foundation, defined brows, neutral cream/brown eye look with a pop of colour on the lips. The only difference is that in this edition, I'm using all 'drugstore' makeup so everything I used is really affordable and readily accessible at any places that carry drugstore brands (such as Priceline, Target, Kmart etc).
