NYX LIP BUTTERS / REVIEW AND SWATCHES

Now I know what you are thinking "not another lipstick range" but let me stop you right there.

I know it takes a lot to invest into purchasing new lip products because let's face it, your lips draw is probably overflowing at this point. But hear me out because I have to tell you about an affordable range of amazing colours that are great quality.

I've never tried a NYX product that I haven't loved and the Butter Lipsticks are no exception. In fact, they exceeded my expectations of them being a lightly tinted moisture balm because instead I found them to be incredibly pigmented but with a comfortable nourishing formulation.
From L to R- Licorice, Taffy, Razzle, Little Suzie and Lollies.

From deep vampy purples to bright candy corals, there's a colour for everyone in the NYX Butter Lipstick range. I picked up five of the options and tried to choose shades from both sides of the spectrum. Licorice is that vampy burgundy I mentioned earlier and not only is it a stunning Autumn colour but it also applies extremely pigmented for a bold lip look. Taffy is a beautiful rich pink that is perfect for everyday wear. Razzle is for those who like unique colours since this one is an eye catching fuchsia purple. Little Suzie is a bright cherry red but appears much more subtle when swatched. Lollies is my personal favourite, a light orange based coral shade perfect for casual summer days.

The consistency of these is truly as the name suggests, buttery. So they glide on and leave your lips nourished. Usually with a formulation that great, the pigmentation suffers but as you can tell from the swatches, these are extremely pigmented and give great colour payoff.

NYX is available from Target or numerous online makeup boutiques so you are sure to be able to get your hands on these lovely lipsticks. They retail for $11.95 making them an affordable option compared to what other brands offer in the drugstore. Since they are so inexpensive, you're able to stock up on some colours that you may not wear everyday such as Licorice or Razzle.

So if lip products are your weakness (which they are mine) then let yourself indulge in this lipstick range because you won't regret it.
