AFFORDABLE FOUNDATION FAVOURITES

Flawless skin that won't break the bank, these are superhero products from the drugstore.

In this post we take a look at four affordable foundation options for everyday use with products from all ends of the spectrum and price range.

Essence Soft Touch Mousse Foundation
My favourite thing about this foundation is the unique consistency that is a mix between a mousse and sponge. When you press down on it the product springs back up like a sponge bouncing back but you can pick the product up with your brush and buff it into the skin. It creates a flawless sort of finish and gives a beautiful airbrushed look. Not to mention how incredibly affordable this foundation is at under $10 which is crazy for a product of this quality. It  retails for just $7.80 is available from Priceline and Target. My colour is 01 Matt Sand.

Maybelline SuperStay Foundation
This one is an oldie but a goodie. It's a foundation that has been part of their range for years now and there is a good reason for it and that is how amazing the quality is. This foundation gives great coverage and is extremely long lasting, labelling itself for 24 hour wear. This foundation retails for $23.95 and is available from pharmacies, chemists and department stores. My colour is Classic Ivory.

BOE Professional BB Cream
So I guess this one is a cheat since it technically isn't foundation but I would honestly consider it one based on the fantastic coverage it provides. This product is extremely affordable and even comes with a concealer in the lid which is great quality within itself and a bonus for the price. It retails for $12.95 and is available exclusively from Big W (while you're at their counter, you can pick up a Jordy nail enamel). My colour of this foundation is Fair.

Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation
This is a fairly new addition to the Maybelline foundation family and I find it to be a great everyday one especially for girls with dry skin. The reason this is so great skin that needs a little extra moisture is because this is a very creamy and nourishing foundation that is easy to blend. The colouring is also really neutral and one of the least orange foundations I have come accross in the drugstore. This foundation retails for $23.95 and is available from pharmacies, chemists and department stores. My colour is Light Beige.

From these four my absolute favourite is most likely the BOE Professional BB Cream because it wears really nicely, comes with a concealer included, is extremely affordable and most importantly looks amazing on the skin.
