KEEPING BLONDE HAIR BRIGHT

Blonde hair is definitely the trickiest of all colours. I mean, no one wants their hair to turn green...or orange...or even purple but with blonde it is a strong possibility.

These are tips to keeping your blonde locks bright and well, blonde.

Purple Shampoo
This one is an essential and I don't know how I would get by not using this at least once a week! If you have fine hair then you might be better off using this sparatically otherwise your blonde could pick up the violet and slightly stain.

Blonde Caring Products
There are numerous products on the market catered specifically towards lighter and colour treated hair. Taking advantage of such ranges as the John Frieda Sheer Blonde (which includes a lightening spray) or Toni & Guy Blonde Nourish will definitely make the difference and have your colour last a bit longer.

Regular Hairdressing Appointments
Having a set time between each colour is great for keeping up to date with your blonde, although I am definitely not the best example because my schedule can get so hectic and I often have to put off getting my hair done. Getting your hair retouched regularly is the best way to keep it looking bright blonde and keeping other unwanted tones out of your colour.

Avoid Chlorine
Stay out of chlorine pools and hop into the ocean instead. Chlorine has a definite tendency to make your hair turn green so it's definitely important to stay cautious of this and take precautions such as wearing a swimming cap or not immersing your hair under water when swimming in a chlorine pool.

Those are a few tips and tricks that I have personally learned along the way of being blonde and having colour treated hair. Some might be lucky and have no issues with keeping their colour bright and blonde but for those of us who struggle, these tips are sure to come in handy.
