NEW IN: LA MAV

Inspired by skin science and delivered through nature, I have been obsessed with La Mav ever since giving these products a go and I want to tell you all about them.

I am particularly excited about this post because we are really mixing it up here with three completely different products; a cleanser, a mist and a BB cream. So I guess the first thing to note is the versatility of this brand.

Hydra-Calm Cleansing Crème ($26.95)
A calming and hydrating dream for sensitive skin.
I am always on the market for a cleanser because I haven't found my holy grail yet since I am so picky. Having a very natural and gentle formulation is really important to me because it's what works best for my skin so I became more and more excited as I read about this product. This gentle cleanser is perfect for day and night use, nourishing and hydrating the skin while cleansing. You definitely won't get that dry and tight feeling that a lot of cleansers leave you with and that is due to the Shea butter and Jojoba oil within the formulation. It has soothing bio-actives including omega fatty acids, bio-flavonoids and bisabolol.
Recommended for: Dry/Mature/Sensitive/Tired Skin
Ideal for: After sun exposure and skin tat is prone to fine lines and dehydration.

Rose Hydrating Mist ($24.95)
Just a spritz of this and you feel like you walked into a day spa.
Right there on the box it says "instant hydration for dry skin", a sentence that completely sold me on this. This really odd thing happened where my skin turned from oily to dry, practically overnight, and I'm still trying to deal with the aftermath and figure out how to care for this now dry skin. Sometimes foundations become a bit too drying and you want instant relief, I am happy to say that this is the product for that purpose. It's a gentle and cooling toner that targets balancing pH levels in the skin with active ingredients Aloe Vera, Chamomile Extract and Rose Water.
Recommended for: All skin types, especially dry, sensitive skin that is prone to fine lines and dehydration.
Directions: Use daily after cleansing or during the day to freshen up your skin and makeup.

Organic BB Crème ($39.95)
I will be talking a lot more about this in an upcoming post all about budget BB Creams and despite this one being slightly more pricey than others in the drugstore, it's a great price point on a product of this quality. Let's talk about the main points you probably want to know about; it's a medium coverage but unfortunately only comes in one shade that would be best described as light-medium. I wish this product contained some SPF but it's not too much of an issue since I just mix in my favourite sunscreen.

These products are all certified organic, a label companies have to jump through hoops to get so I respect any product that has been awarded that title. It's a brand that's frer from petrochemicals, parabens sulphated surfactants, synthetic fragrance/colours, phthalates, talc, PEGs, TEA, DEA and silicones. This is amazing because you know that any products you purchase from La Mav are going to be organic, making it an easy go-to for both skincare and makeup products.

I have covered so much in this post so I just wanted to finish up on something extra I thought I would mention. It's a little added touch that warms my heart is their chat function where you can talk live with a lovely person from La Mav to help you with any questions you have. This could particularly come in use if you are unsure of what products would suit your skin type and are looking for a little additional guidance. As I always say, it's the little things!
