GENTLE CLEANSERS FOR SENSITIVE SKIN

Over the years I have found that my skin responds best to gentle products and the more mild they are, the clearer my skin is.

I went from using Dermalogica with high quantities of salicylic acid to products such as Cetaphil. While I branch out a bit more now with brands and products with more complex ingredients I always make sure to keep it gentle on my skin. I am going to talk you through my four favourite cleansers that are kind to my skin but are still effective enough to keep my complexion clear.

Labelled as a true gift for sensitive skin, this soothing formulation includes anti-inflammatory Vinanza Oxifend and if you are sitting there thinking Vina-what? It's actually a super-antioxidant naturally extracted from pinot noir grapes. Also incorporated into the formulation is nutrient-rich avocado oil and marigold flower. This beautiful combination of ingredients gently cleanses and softens the skin.
I fell in love with this cleanser when it was used during my facial at Brazilian Beauty (you can read about my experience here). This is the perfect product if you want a high strength cleanser that really transforms the skin while still being gentle. This formulation includes ingredients such as Vitamin C, chamomile and citric acid. It's main aims are to cleanse impurities, encourage healthy skin cell production and rejuvenation. It works to sink deep into the layers of your skin, injecting it with the active ingredients.

Skinstitut Gentle Cleanser ($30.15)
I love this cleanser as a go-to everyday product because it is really gentle as it claims to be and has a beautiful cucumber scent. The gel formulation is super refreshing and cooling on the skin. The perfect product to have in your shower for days you haven't worn much makeup or just want something very mild.
This cleanser has such an interesting formulation, leaving a slightly oily residue to the skin almost as if you have just applied moisturiser. This makes it great if you have dry skin and find that a lot of cleansers strip the moisture from your skin. You won't even feel the need to moisturise after using this cleanser so it's almost like a 2-in-1. For such an affordable option, it is a god send for dry and sensitive skin.
I hope this has helped give some product ideas to you girls with sensitive skin because I personally know the struggle and so I can stand behind these products as being gentle enough to pass my standards.
