3 Superfood Smoothie Recipes

I have been smoothie obsessed for years because it a fantastic way of incorporating vitamins and minerals into your diet in a delicious way.

I mean you're not going to be crunching down on handful of flaxseeds or downing shots of spirulina because that is the worst tasting stuff in existence - scientifically proven (no I just made that up but it's pretty gross). So a great way of getting those ingredients as part of your diet is blending them up in a fruit concoction where you can't taste them anyway.

Here are my three tired and tested favourites over the years that are fantastic for your health but also taste delicious!

This is my go-to smoothie when I'm feeling lazy because it's so damn easy but tastes so incredible and is extremely filling.

Ingredients
1 Banana
1 scoop Protein Powder
1 cup Almond Milk
1 tbsp. Chia Seeds
1 tbsp. Cacao Nibs
1 tbsp. LSA Meal

If you are not one to be found chomping on kale in salads then this is a great way of disguising the flavour.

Ingredients
1 Frozen Banana
1 Handful of Kale
1 Tbsp LSA
Dash of Soy Milk
Chocolate Protein

So now we are talking about the dreaded spirulina...this one is based around disguising the flavor. Banana is particularly great at this but rockmelon also works.

Ingredients
1 Frozen Banana
Handful of Spinach
1 Tbsp. Spirulina
1 Tbsp. LSA Meal
1 Tbsp. Chia Seeds
1/2 cup fruit (I used rockmelon in the one featured above)

There you have is - 3 super simple yet seriously delicious smoothie recipes. The best of both worlds really.
