5 Steps To Perfect Brows

Brow trends are constantly changing, and it can be very difficult keeping up with them! But, at the end of the day, as long as you shape your brows so that they fit your face type, you should be able to create beautiful eyebrows. Plus, following these five steps should help you improve the look of your brows as well!

Leave Them For A While

If you have been waxing or plucking your brows for a long time now but think it is time you changed the shape, you need to leave your brows for a while so that they can grow. This will give them the chance to get back to their natural shape. Once they are back to how they should be, you can then work on restyling them. It should take between six to eight weeks for them to get back to their natural shape, and this will help you figure out the best shape for them.

Don’t Pluck Too Much

Brows are meant to be full, so it’s a good idea to take it easy with the tweezers! If you end up over-plucking them, you might find that they don’t grow as well as they should. If you are stumped with this problem, you should start applying an eyebrow growth product, that can encourage them to grow again.

Find Your Perfect Shape

Using a brow pencil, such as the Anastasia Brow Wiz, will help you find the best shape for your brows. You just need to hold the pencil vertically from your nostril. Mark the spot with the pencil. Then, angle the pencil so that it extends from your nostril and past the outer corner of your eye. These points are where your brows should begin and end.

Think About Lightening Or Darkening

That brow pencil will come in handy for this next step too. You need it if you think your eyebrows need darkening. You should draw in little flicks with the pencil so that they look like small hairs. Alternatively, you might want to slightly lighten your brows so that they help your eyes pop out. Ask your hairdresser to lighten them next time you get your hair cut.

Soothe The Skin

All that work on your eyebrows can sometimes leave the skin feeling quite sore and raw. This is especially the case if you have been plucking or waxing your brows excessively. To make sure all your work on your eye brows doesn’t irritate the skin around them too much, it’s a good idea to invest in some products that can help soothe them. You can apply regular moisturiser is you are on a tight budget and can’t afford to buy a specialist product. If you have some spare cash, though, it is well worth buying a cooling gel as this can tighten the pores and reduce irritation.

These five steps should help you to really improve your brow game! Do you have any other tips that you swear by? If so, let me know!
