Why You Need a Facial Ice Roller

So there’s this thing I keep in the freezer and just hope my boyfriend doesn’t find so I don’t have to explain…

For the past 3 or 4 months I have been regularly using a facial ice roller every morning and sometimes at night. If you have never heard of their weird concept then let me help explain what it is because I originally thought an ice roller was like a circle ice cube and I was like…how does it not melt. It is kind of like a circular ice cube but more like the ones you would get back in the 90s made from plastic that you could refreeze but usually they were in the shape of sea shells or fish or something. But it’s a durable hard plastic.

So now you’ve wrapped your head around that one, or you already know what an ice roller is, let’s get into why I use one and all the benefits.

Wakes You Up / Decreases Puffiness
For me it REALLY wakes me up in the morning. It’s kind of the feeling of splashing cool water on your face mixed with a facial massage. So it’s super refreshing but also helps decrease puffiness. Do you ever wake up and your eyes are a bit swollen or you feel your whole face is? Whether that is accurate or just in your mind based on how you feel… using an ice roller fixes both of these problems. It makes you feel extremely refreshed and definitely decreases puffiness.

Great Start to Your Skincare Routine
The other huge benefit of an ice roller is that it is the perfect start to your skincare routine because it preps your skin ready for product application. I love putting my skincare on nice cool skin in the morning otherwise I feel a bit hot and flustered.

Preps Your Skin For Makeup
Once I’ve finished off this relaxing skincare routine, I am more than ready to put my makeup on. I find that an ice roller really shrinks my pores and tightens my skin, perfect to prep the skin for your daily makeup routine.

Basically, you really need to try it for yourself and see if it’s something that you enjoy and fits in with your skincare/makeup routine. I have gotten a bit obsessed with it and can’t imagine going without my ice roller so it really makes a difference for me.
