Like most people, I sadly don't have
perfect skin but I do have makeup which definitely has the power to make an improvement
to the appearance of my skin! The component of makeup which I think has
the most dramatic difference is the base, AKA the foundation. So I'm
going to be sharing with you the products and techniques I use to even
out my skin tone, cover blemishes and overall improve my skin all with four simple steps! If this doesn't show you the magic of makeup, I don't know what will!
STEP #1: PRIME
STEP #1: PRIME
Product- Bloom Prep and Prime
Application- I use my hands to apply this primer everywhere on my face apart from my T-zone.
Product- Mary Kay Oil Mattifier
Application- I use my hands to apply this primer onto my T-zone.
STEP #2: FOUNDATION
Product- Mary Kay Oil Mattifier
Application- I use my hands to apply this primer onto my T-zone.
STEP #2: FOUNDATION
Product- Chanel Mat Lumiere Foundation
Product- Garnier BB CreamApplication- Mix the two products together on a flat surface and spread it out evenly. I use my XO Beauty round top face brush to apply this evenly all over my face, working in layers to gradually build up the coverage.
STEP #3: CONCEAL
Product- MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer
Application- I use my Real Techniques detailer brush to apply the MAC Studio Sculpt concealer to any places on my face that I feel like need a little extra coverage and any spots, then blend it in with my fingers.
Product- 15 Color Concealer Palette
Application- Again using the Real Techniques detailer brush, I apply the lightest shade from the 15 colour concealer palette underneath my eyes, on the bridge of my nose and in between my eyebrows to create a sort of highlight.

STEP #4: POWDER
Product- Maybelline Shine Free Loose Powder
Application- I like to keep my foundation very light and avoid excess powder as it can begin to look cakey so that's why I choose a translucent powder to set my foundation. It still makes sure that your foundation stays put all day and mattifies the look but it doesn't make the skin overly powdery at all.
There you have it; how I achieve flawless foundation! Of course this is just what works for me and as everyone is different you may need to customize these products or techniques to suit you but I hope you all found this helpful!

*The Solid Rose, Maybelline and Mary Kay products were gifted to me. However, all opinions are honest and my own.
