CANDY CORALS AND HOT PINKS- SPRING LIP PRODUCTS

Spring has sprung and if there's one thing I'm excited for it's the bright lip colours that I can now pull out from the back of my draws and wear without hesitation. This autumn and winter I've been waring out the dusty pinks, burgundy's, berry's and nudes so I'm excited at the thought on slapping on a hot pink or flirty coral. In this post I'm going to be showing you some of my favourites for the season in preparation of changing up the vanity essentials for the brighter and warmer weather. With a lot of these products I have posted full reviews on them so it is indicated where you can check out the reviews if you're interested to learn more about the shade. So keep reading to learn more or you can watch the video here.

MAC never fails to deliver when it comes to bold and bright lip colours, with a huge selection of hot pinks, corals, reds and has you covered for pretty much every other colour thinkable. I have picked out three of my favourite shades for Spring that MAC offer; a pink, red and coral.  MAC Candy Yum Yum is my go-to hot pink because it is the perfect amount pink and perfect amount fluro. It dresses up any plain outfit and adds that pop of colour that sometimes is the difference between a boring makeup look or an eye catching lip colour. You can read my full review on Candy Yum Yum here. MAC Im-Passioned is a spring spin on a typical red due to it's bright berry undertones. MAC Vegas Volt was one of the first MAC lipsticks that I got my hands on through the Back to MAC programme and since I have experimented much with it, mixing with nudes and layering with glosses. This electric orange can be worn on it's own to make a statement, mixed with a nude for a more wearable look or made luscious with a shiny gloss.

Maybelline have a whole collection that is absolutely perfect for the Spring time which is of course their Color Sensational Vivids. The whole range featured eye catching shades perfect for the colour-loving girls and these three are my favourites despite loving all of the offerings. Pink Pop is your typical light barbie pink with a cool undertone that gives the appearance of whiter teeth. This colour has a creamy formulation so doesn't leave your lips looking cracked or dry like some light shades do. Hot Plum is the perfect wearable purple and gives any makeup look that "wow-factor". It's a daring shade that would compliment a bright Spring dress or outfit that was otherwise plain. Vivid Rose is a spin on your typical red lipstick with bright red undertones, making it just as bold as your usual red but has a slight fluro undertone to really catch the eye. You can read my full review on this lipstick range here.
She Beauty lipstick in "Watermelon" is a flirty mix of coral and red. It's the perfect product for when you want to wear red but want it to be more subtle and understated. Maybelline "Hibiscus Haven" is a beautiful hot pink gloss. You can read my whole review on the Maybelline Color Elixirs here. The whole range features fantastic bold colours but this hot pink is absolutely stunning and my favourite from them all. It looks beautiful over a nude for a subtle hot pink tint or over Candy Yum Yum to enhance the look. Lime Crime Geradium is my absolute favourite coral that I own and I wear this gorgeous shade to death during the warm seasons. It is one of my favourite lipsticks of all time and that is not only due to the striking bright coral colour but also because of its creamy and moisturising formulation. You can read my full review on that shade here.

A couple of years back I went through a NYX Round Lipsticks obsession where I collected a fair amount of them, so many that some of which were even comparable in colour. I chose to show you all NYX Round Lipstick in "Louisiana" because I think that it is the perfect deep hot pink lipstick but the NYX shade "Hot Pink" is very similar so if you can't get your hands on this one (sometimes they are sold out) then that's a very close second. The Dior Liquid Stick in "Mirage" is the equivalent of the hot pink gloss shown earlier, but in coral form. This pigmented dusty orange looks stunning over Lime Crime Geradium and many other corals or even over a nude for a glossy and subtle coral look. Lucky last we have a luxurious YSL Rouge Volupte in "Fetish Pink" which is a creamy candy baby pink with a consistency like silk on your lips. Not to mention it looks stunning in your purse or set on a vanity, the product inside is just as lovely as the packaging.

So that's all from me on these twelve Spring lip shades, I hope that it gave you some inspiration on products to give a go for this season. Again, if you want to learn more about any of these particular products there are links to full reviews on most or feel free to request more information if there isn't.

Those shades are so perfect for spring, absolutely lovely! The darker ones are probably good for Autumn too, to be honest, which is what we're dealing with over in the Northern Hemisphere! ;)
