SPARKLY HOLIDAY EYES - ALL THE PRODUCTS YOU NEED

It's time to bust out those sparkly golds and silver glitters because with holiday season in full swing there has never been a better time to be bold and daring with your eye looks.

Tis' the season to be festive and wear makeup that you may not typically wear during the year. Christmas and New Years always spark inspiration and creativity into me to spice up my makeup and go bold/glittery. So I have compiled my favourite metallic, shimmery and glittery products for the eye lids - let's get into it.

MAC "Amber Lights" is one of the first MAC eyeshadows I purchased because I couldn't resist it's stunning antiqued gold finish. It has the most beautiful burnt undertone to it that makes it so wearable while still being a pop of gold. This is if you want to subtly incorporate gold into your eyeshadow look.

Maybelline Color Tattoo's are an easy way of adding a pop of colour and in this case Bold Gold adds a touch of warmth and glitter to the eye, perfect for the holiday season. I like to apply this onto the lid and pair it with a brown in the crease. For a more natural look, maybe if you are wearing a really bold red lip, you could use a creamy white on the lid and buff in some of this to the crease.

Covergirl Bombshell Shineshadows are the perfect base to any eye look or are fab on their own. Copper Fling adds a nice warn peachy gold to the lid for a subtle sparkle. Color Me Money is an alternative green toned silver shade for something a bit more unexpected.

LORAC 3D Liquid Lustre is definitely an interesting concept. These watery drops can be applied to any eyeshadows or even a plain eyelid for an instant hit of sparkle.

MAC Glitter in "Reflects Transparent Teal" gives a slightly frosty finish to any eyeshadow but mainly it injects shimmer into any eye look without affecting the colour. This has been a go-to product for me for years because it takes any eye look to the next level.

I picked up some of these Wet n Wild Color Icon Shadows while in the US for the sole purpose of creating holiday looks. They do not dissapoint! These have a gel like consistency and pack a huge punch of glitter that adheres like glue! The silver is "Spiked" and the gold is "Brass"

The Australis Metallix Eyeshadows are lightweight and have a silky formulation that glides onto the lid but provides opaque colour payoff. Pictured is the rose gold shade "Guns and Rose Petals" and an olive golden brown "Jay Zed". Read my full review on these here

I hope this post has given you some festive inspiration. I know personally that a sparkly shadow or metallic cream base can really boost my holiday spirit.
