It's that time of year again to reflect upon the ultimate beauty favourites over the past 12 months before we get stuck into the trends that 2016 is going to bring.
This was a great year for me finding some staples for my everyday makeup routine and some amazing new products that have made their way into my ultimate favourites.
I cam back from the US with a new holy grail foundation and the L'Oreal True Match does not disappoint. It is lightweight yet full coverage and the colouring system is a dream for every skin tone. It offers options for very light skin as well as darker skin which is rare to find within a lot of foundations.
The NARS Pressed Foundation replaced my MAC Studio Fix which was my powder of choice for years. It has such a beautiful silky formulation that leaves a luxurious velvet finish on the skin.
Another setting powder I love is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette because it is a three in one product that includes a setting powder, highlight and bronzer. I love pulling this out to quickly finish off my look and the luminous glow in unbeatable.
This year I was most excited about the Maybelline Rebel Bloom Lipsticks compared to any other lip product launch. These floral inspired hues brightened my Spring and Summer with pops of coral and hot pink. I love bright and fun lip colours so this range does not disappoint.
I got very into my highlighter this year, as I think a lot of girls did, especially the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in 'Pearl'. This versatile liquid highlighter looks fantastic on the cheek bones over foundation or mixed in with your foundation for an all over luminous glow.
The Maybelline Lash Sensational became my go-to mascara this year for lengthening and volumising at the same time. I have heard great things from other girls too so I think it's a true stand out mascara from this year.
