PASTEL EASTER OUTFITS

Easter holds a special place in my heart because it was my favourite holiday of the year (on par with Christmas) while I was in primary school.

My absolute favourite part was the stunning pastel arts and crafts that you would put together. Having chocolate given to you everywhere you turned wasn’t too bad either. Back to the pastel though – some of my fondest memories at school are creating Easter arts and craft with big wicker baskets, fluffy plastic yellow chickens, dip dying eggs and shredding pastel coloured paper to make straw. Not to mention the Easter parades where you would create your own hat and go all out with feathers, glitter and those little plastic baby chickens.

Not much has changed where I now want to celebrate my love of pastels in the name of Easter but this time it is through my makeup. I have put together three pastel outfits that are perfect for Easter and I am itching to get my hands on. You will also be pleased to note that there is a good mix of pricing with some being affordable and others being more splurge items.

YELLOW
Bardot Cara Asym Dress ($65)
If ever there is a time to pull out the yellow then Easter is definitely it - tying into the stunning pastels of Easter eggs. The strappy back details make the most of a fading tan from Summer not to mention yellow generally accentuates a tan as well. The beautiful silky material makes this dress appear a lot more expensive than it actually is and the split up the side adds some sexy to the sophisticated cut.

PINK
Forever New Lydia V-neck Hi-lo Prom Dress ($189.99)
I am totally in love with this dress it is crazy! Blush pink is a weakness of mine and this stunning light pastel is so feminine and pretty. The V-cut neckline is feminine and flirty while the flowy pleated bottom adds a bell shape to the dress. It is a little bit pricey but I am eyeing of this dress so much I think I might just buy it next time I am in Forever New (or I feel like a bit of online shopping).

BLUE
Felix Jumper ($54)
This colour is a mix of robin egg blue and dusty pastel. This is the perfect option for a more casual garden party or BBQ and egg hunt day. If it is cooling down where you live then you will appreciate the long sleeves while the good quality and comfy knit makes it a dream to wear. Pair with leggings or white jeans for a cool and chic finish.
