Behind The Desk September - Work and More Work + Exciting Project Launching

Hey you! It’s me – I’m still alive but I’m barely breathing. I joke but…once you hear about all the stuff I’ve been doing over the past few weeks - you’ll get it.

Let’s just say my last month has involved being piled in assignments…again…and I’m not even a Uni student anymore. It’s also been a lot of flipping between stressed out mess and bouncing off the walls excited about a project about to launch…

First of all! Holy crap… we are mid-way through September and next month are entering the last quarter of the year. Shortly I will be writing an article about ways you can make the most of the rest of the year and still smash those goals you set out in January – keep an eye out. It’s not too late to accomplish everything you set out to do in 2018! Gear up instead of slowing down for this last quarter to see massive results.

I’ve been in work mode pretty much all month, not stopping to do much else. Which is to be expected honestly since I have about 5 jobs; my full-time gig as marketing manager, teaching a Uni subject at QUT, freelance consulting, running this blog AND…working ridiculously hard on this special project about to launch. So I knew what I was getting myself into. But now you can laugh at how boring my life has been lately. Let’s get into it shall we…

Marking assignments is hard work and a lot of pressure
You might already know that I graduated my masters this year and swapped books for…ehhh more books? I started my teaching job at the University the same week I graduated…d’oh. But great news is that teaching is actually a whole lot of fun and quite energizing since I’m talking about a subject where I am so familiar with the content – social media management. But what I wasn’t warned about was THE MARKING *screams in horror*. Not as easy as it sounds to mark the work of students because;
A. You hold their future in your hands and could make or break their GPA with your mark. No pressure.
B. You were just a student yourself so…who let you do this again?
C. Marking each assignment takes a LOT of time and when you have over 50 students…goodbye social life.

Anyway that’s enough about that – you get the point. I’ve been locked in a room, eyes glued to a computer marking social media strategies.

Super special secret launch coming up soon
Something a bit more exciting…I’m putting the finishing touches on a huge project ready to launch! It is the biggest thing I have ever worked on IN MY LIFE (yep, bigger than my Masters major project) and I am so proud of all the hard work that has gone into making this dream a reality. I wish I could say more but it might be just a little too soon. Let’s just say it SHOULD *fingers crossed* be available for you to get your hands on by Christmas. Yay!

Sorry gal, just a boring life update today. I wish I had more to report other than work but just keeping it real over here.
