4 Productivity Tips - Get More Done + Achieve More With Less Stress

I have made a lot of changes in my lifestyle recently to increase how much work I get done and boost my overall productivity.

This post is all about sharing some kickass methods to get more done and achieve more but also with less stress - it's a win win.

Read on for 4 productivity tips that will change the way you spend your time and have you see real results in your life.

Create Habits
These are things you automatically do everyday without even thinking about them. They are habits that set you up for success and put you on the right path to achieving your goals. Because these actions have been habits, they take a lot less of your energy. This is because it is a routine you are used to doing and you aren't wasting any time sitting and thinking about what you need to do, it's just an automatic process your body knows.

For example, my morning routine can be read in detail here but the jist of it is to wake up at 6:30, meditate for 10 minutes, read for 30 minutes, exercise for 20 minutes, take my vitamins and drink my apple cider vinegar drink, have a coffee then get ready for work. There is no time throughout the routine I stop and ask myself what's next, I just know. It doesn't require any extra thinking or effort, it's a series of habits I have formed.

Meal Prep
Meal prepping takes an hour or two out of your weekend but saves you an incredible amount of time throughout the week. Instead of sitting at work wondering where you are going to go for lunch, driving there, spending heaps of money on your food each day and taking time out of your day that could be better spent working on a project or doing something productive. Meal prepping takes away all of the guess work, effort and wasted time spent on lunches throughout the week. I meal prep my lunch, my snacks and have go-to dinners that save me time. You can read more about meal prepping and recipe ideas here.

Log your time
Do you ever get to the end of the working day or weekend and wonder where your time went or why you didn't get everything you needed to done? If you start logging where all of your time is spent, you would be surprised at how much opportunity for productivity is being wasted. Take one day to log how you spent every single hour in that day and you will start to notice where you can make changes to find more time. Everyone has the same 24 hours in the day, it's all about how you spend them. You can be a productivity machine and put every single one of those hours to use once you identify where you need to make changes. You might find through your logging that you spend 3 hours a day scrolling through social media or your whole evening is taken up watching 3 different TV series you follow. I seriously recommend using Toggl.com for this because it is a great way of tracking exactly how your time is spent.

Multitask
So we all know what the studies show about multi-tasking decreasing productivity because your mind takes time to adjust from one thing to another rather than staying focused on the one task at hand. However, you can definitely still multitask but in a smarter way. For example, listening to a podcast, lecture or audio book while driving, cleaning your house or walking your dog. It could also mean grouping together and saving all of your out of the house errands to do in one go and get everything knocked over in one morning. If you are watching your favourite TV show, answering emails while you watch or even just during the commercial breaks. There is a lot of opportunity to be more productive by multi-tasking in small and smart ways.

Those are my four easy trips to boost productivity and get more done with less stress. I hope that these have helped and that some of these work for you too.
