MODELLING CAMPAIGN EXPRIENCE

Hey everyone,

I'm back and excited to say that i had an amazing time modelling for the past 3 days.

I was asked to come into the agency 24hours earlier than first arranged which was suprising but beneficial for the campaign. I arrived at the agency early morning and had breakfast with a few of the photographers and agency executives, they then moved on to relocate me to the beach. I spent the rest of that day (Sunday) settling into my resort and exploring the beach a little. That night i made sure to get lots of sleep because i had an early start!

Monday I did a couple of frames in the water but the majority of them were done in a heated lagoon which was convenient considering the water was fairly cold.

The next day came (Tuesday) and i had that day off so i spent it shopping (which means a haul coming up) and soaking up some sun by the pool.

Wednesday was a whirlwind, so many photos were taken and an amazing amount of times my clothes and makeup were changed!

A very tiring process i assure you! Nevertheless an amazing experience and one of the funnest campaigns i have done to date. It exceeded my expectations and was better than i ever imagined it would be.

The people i have met through these experiences has lead me to some beautiful souls and amazing characters. To be getting paid for something i love so much is a great thing in my life at the moment and although i would never consider modelling becoming an occupation, i thoroughly enjoy the extra money this hobby has given me.

**NOTE**
No pictures used in this entry were taken as part of the campaign, it is against my contract to obtain any such images so don't expect them until they are officially released.

MODELLING CAMPAIGN UPDATE AND FOTD/OOTD

Hi everyone,
So i thought i would take a quick break from packing. I bet your thinking "but she said her modelling photoshoot started Monday..?". Well things have been moved forward 24hours and i'm heading to the city early tomorrow morning. I have pretty much packed my whole room into 2 suite cases, a LV Duffle, Guess Tote and purse. If your a commerical brand lover and know the sizing of those traveling items mentioned then you know how much stuff i have packed! I'm super excited and totally ready for endless hours of hair and makeup. However, it will be worth it because i think this is one of the biggest campaigns i have done to date. Oh and just to clear a few things up; thank you sooo much to the lovely girls who have wished me well on my modelling career but i wouldn't consider it a career. I do not intend on becoming a model of any sort and its just a part time job type thing so sorry to confuse you. I'm super excited!
Okay so onto the FOTD/OOTD..

Products used to achieve this look were;
-MAC Studio Sculpt concealer
-MAC Studio Fix Powder
-MAC LadyBlush CremeBlush
-Smashbox primer
-Stila "Kitten" eyeshadow (lid)
-MAC "Vanilla" eyshadow (brow bone)
-MAC PlushLash mascara in "PlushBlack"
-Maybelline "Great Lash" in "very black"
-Smashbox Jet Set liquid eyeliner in "Midnight Black"
-MAC PowerPoint in "Gilded White"
-MAC SlimShine in "Inimidate"
...WOAH THATS A LOT..It didn't seem like that much at the time :D

Now onto the Outfit..

-Abercrombie tank top. Blue.
-Doll DeLuxe. White denim minis.
-Forever New purse
Then i threw a black cardigan with lace detailing due to the cold weather here in Australia at the moment.
So just a super simple outfit for everday activities and just chilling on the weekend.

I hope you guys are all going well,
Thank you so much for your support and well wishes.
I love you all who take time to write me a sweet message or comment my videos and blog posts telling me what you think :D

UPDATE!!

Hi everyone,
A lot has been going on recently, hence me being MIA recently. I have a few things to share with you and some exciting news so i thought an update was necessary.

Firstly i have been purchasing a few new things that i thought might be fascinating to share. To start with i have been stocking up on some DVDs including "The Notebook", "Private Valentine", "The Lovely Bones", "Meet The Morgans", "The Invention Of Lying", "New Moon", "2010", "Love Wrecked", "The House Bunny", "Blonde Ambition" and a few others but that's all i remember at the moment.
Also, to my excitment, i purchased a new laptop! I had a "MacBook Pro" except i couldnt live without Microsoft Office so i bought a new one which is the "Vaio E Series; VPCEB16FG". I bought a new phone about a month ago which is the "HTC Touch Pro 2" and that runs on Microsoft Office so basically i can't live without Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher, OneNote, Outlook etc.

I have been pretty busy with assignments and such but that had begun to settle down and hopefully it won't start back up in a hurry. I just came home from a HPE camp (EDIT: Which for those of you who were asking is a health and physical education camp, so a camp that specifies in lots of physical activites). It was really fun we participated in hiking, canoeing, heights and surfing. (I will be posting a seperate entry for camp going into more detail) This weekend i am working at the Hairdressing Salon and the Bakery. Then (and this is the exciting news), I am taking the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off school to work in the city for a modelling agency. It isn't work experience in any way, i am modelling for a popular couture store. For those of you who may ask which one, it is in my contract that i can not disclose the company name of the store i am modelling for until the prints are finalized for their campaign but i will definitley tell you all when i get the all clear. (EDIT: Yes, i am being paid).

I really do want to get back to posting regularly, proper beauty posts..but i havn't been inspired recently so i am just going to wait for that little push of inspiration i need to get me back blogging :D

QUOTE: KATY PERRY STARTING OUT WITH MAKEUP!

Hey everyone,
I was reading a magazine and found a quote about Katy Perry starting out in makeup and i thought it was interesting and i would share with you guys.

"I was completely broke. I used to borrow outfits, get my make-up done at make-up counters, and then sneak into events. It was cool! I seemed to be wearing things right." ~Katy Perry

I just thinks it's really interesting how she went from not being able to afford makeup to being able to afford a personal makeup artist. I quite enjoy seeing what Katy Perry dones with her makeup and she always looks amazing. She isn't afraid to experiment with bright colours which shows a good example regarding my makeup post here.

I hope you guys are well,

CHRISTINA COPYING GAGA

Hey everyone,
Is it just me or does Chrstina Aguleria's new music video "Not The Same Girl Tonight" seem quite literal. Like seriously, she really isn't the same girl tonight!!! I love Christina and always have for her gorgeous blue eyes and red lips but she seems to have forgotten entierly about her own individual style and seems to be feeding off other people's. See for yourself the comparisons between the videos.

From what i have seen the similarities are:
*The medievil torture outfits
*The eye makeup (although i must admit it is common, it really rmeinded me of GaGa)
*The finger movements around the eyes
*The claws (are you serious?!?! that is one of the top things GaGa is known for.)
*The burning of the clothes on fire (Not only did this part make no sense but it's such a GaGa thing to do-she lights everything on fire!!)
*The whole girl-on-girl thing reminds me of Lady GaGa LoveGame
*The leotards (I believe that Christina is far too petite to pull of the hot pants and leotards)
*Her expressions (You know those incomprehensible, really random and unexplained facial movements or dance moves that GaGa does in some of her videos? I kinda seemed as though Christina was epic failing with many of them)
*The whole boy in bed thing was taken too far. Yet GaGa decides to burn the boy instead of whatever Christina did...

In no means am i disrespecting Christina!! She is amazing!! That's exactly why i can't figure out why she felt the need to copy other celebrities.
