BEST OF BEAUTY 2014

As 2015 is in full swing, we look back at the best in beauty for the year just gone. Here are my ultimate favourite products from 2014. Read on to see what made the cut or watch the video below.

Maybelline Color Elixirs
This was definitely the best drugstore release for lip-glosses since they are so comparable to high end products such as the Dior Fluid Stick's yet they are extremely affordable. The colour selection is amazing, the price point is just right while the formulation and pigmentation are exactly what you look for in a lipgloss. Read the review here.

BOE Pro Lipsticks
The review for this range just went up last week so I would recommend checking that out for an in-depth look into these lipsticks. Overall they are outstanding in regards to quality and definitely exceeded my expectations in colour selection and pigmentation but are so affordable it's hard to believe. Read the review here.

BOE "Jordy" Nail Polish
A beauty highlight of 2014 was having a beautiful hot red nail polish named after me and receiving so much support from all you lovely viewers. It has been an incredible and surreal experience so I definitely had to include it as a beauty favourite. Read the review here.

MAC Cork
Rain or shine, I am guaranteed to be using this amazing eyeshadow to fill in my brows whether it be on it's own or in conjunction with other brow products. This is my go-to for everyday use because it's the perfect shade of brown that isn't too orange and doesn't have too much of a cool undertone. It results in an extremely natural looking brow but is buildable so you can always create a more dramatic look. Read the article Brows For Blondes here.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation
2014 was the year that I finally expanded my horizons and tried out a foundation other than Chanel Mat Lumiere. It has fantastic coverage, a great colour and it is extremely long-lasting. It does crack a little bit and the consistency could be more moisturising but all-in-all this was my favourite foundation from 2014. Read the review here.

NARS Powder Foundation
Usually I would talk about my Australis Fresh & Flawless or MAC Studio Fix but not this year, I have found a new favourite and the new kid on the block is the pressed powder foundation that NARS offer. It has such a smooth and silky consistency that it leaves your skin with a beautiful velvety texture. Read the review here.

Real Techniques Brushes
My favourite brushes are hands down the Real Techniques ones since they are definitely the best quality for their price. I don't think buying them from Priceline is worth it though so I would highly recommend iHerb.com where they are available for a fraction of the price. You can use code QAB322 at checkout for further discounts of $10 for orders over $40 and $5 off for orders under $40. Read the review here.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair
My favourite skincare product from 2014 is definitely the Advanced Night Repair since I have noticed a dramatic difference in the appearance of my skin since using it. Regarding evening out skin tone, smoothness and the overall feel...it is definitely well worth the price and I would highly recommend it. Read the review here.

That's my wrap up of the best in beauty for 2014, I'm looking forward to seeing what 2015 brings within the industry.
